Anonymous asked: This isn't a problem, but a question... The lead in my school musical started to have unexplained seizures recently and they are looking to put her in a hospital. I auditioned and worked *so hard* to get the role she has and the show was only primarily casted. Should I learn her lines/songs/dances just in case? Because my director is one to just count on the primary to be there for the show and not get an understudy. Or would that just be getting my hopes up. Please let me know your opinions :)
I think it would be best to talk with your Director on this issue. Even if they plan to replace her at this point, there’s no telling who their going to replace her with. Express interest in helping in any way, don’t point blank as to replace her. That’d be a bit rude.
But definitely talk to your director about his plans, hope for the best, but don’t get your hopes too far up just in case.
And best wishes to your friend!
